Party!

What a week! Conference weekend was so nice. My mom came up and we had a big breakfast. I made french toast casserole and homemade peach sauce and raspberry sauce and cream. We watched all 4 sessions of conference from Saturday to Sunday. It was my favorite conference ever. The kids watched a lot of it as I tried to make it fun for them. I set up cups with pictures on them of Jesus, the prophet, scriptures etc. and every time they heard that word they would put a bean in the cup. They could cash in the beans later for prizes and treats.

Then my dad invited us to a BBQ that night at his house. He had a special announcement. He now has his priesthood and he and his wife were called to serve as temple workers in the Draper temple. We were so proud of him. Then later this week the kids both got the flu and took turns puking in the car throughout the week in the car. A total of 3 times. Such fun!

I gave Manuel part of his birthday present early. Tickets to a Jazz game and a Jazz Jersey. We had a fun little date. Then we celebrated his birthday with my family at the annual Halloween party at my mom's house. Paisley and her cousin Kyler won for best kids costume. My sister Crista won for best adult costume. She was Medusa. My mom thought she was Moses. I was a black widow spider, Gabe was wolf boy, Paisley was a Spanish dancer, and Manuel was a phantom thing.

We decorated a pumpkin and were the only ones who did so our family won that contest. I won best desert for my eclair cake. You can find that recipe on my food blog. http://cookwithlindsey.blogspot.com

I also made 2 pumpkin pies out of fresh pumpkins, apple cider cheesecake cupcakes (my own invention), homemade root beer with vanilla ice cream and we brought chips and salsa. It was fun. I love Halloween!!!

The baby is scheduled now to deliver on October 25th.
