For the new house I decided to decorate with refurbished items from the D.I. I want things that are unique and I don't want to spend a lot of money. As you can see these random, unattractive items are going to transform over the next few months and I cant wait to show you the "vision". Most of the items are either for the girls' rooms or the kitchen. Stay tuned...

School Starts

The kids both started school this week. Gabe's first day of Kindergarten and Paisley's first day of preschool. They loved it and did great. Gabe was labeled as the smart kid by his teacher and he is excited that breakfast is served in his kindergarten class each day. He was greeted by clowns and a DJ playing lively and loud music at the entrance of the school.

My mom had an end of summer party at her house yesterday. We had a taco bar and water games. I made some yummy key lime pie you can check out on my food blog.

I have had fun making my own jewelry as you can see. And I had to go buy new professional business clothes for some things I have been working on, on the side. I'll explain later. It's been almost 6 years since I have worn slacks. I prefer pencil skirts for business attire but for this project I am required to look as non-feminine as possible. Retarded? Absolutely, but if it pays off in the end I'm not complaining.
