Home Sweet Home

Our vacation went by way too fast but it's nice to be home. The good news, we came home to a garden ready to be harvested and ripe peaches and apples (for the first time) the bad news, our home was broken into. There was a giant boulder laying on the table in our guest bedroom and the window was shattered. I guess other homes in the area were also targeted. Be careful everyone!! Luckily they were clearly scared off by something (our guardian angels) and didn't finish the job. We had computers, cash and all sorts of electronics out in the open. Thank goodness!

Well, anyhow we all have jet lag still and were awake at 3:00 this morning so I made corn salsa with our garden vegetables and sweet red corn we grew. I also made a cucumber salad. while doing this I was reminded of my pioneer ancestors who left Europe to come here to Utah and they grew gardens and made yummy recipes with their harvest. What sacrifices they made to come to America. I had a renewed appreciation for my homeland and and all we have been blessed with. It's good to be home!!

Welcome Home! I had no idea there were breakins going on!! I'm glad all was well at your house besides the broken window.

You are such a good homemaker to make corn salsa and cucumber salad that early in the morning. I would have been a huge grump. I had so much fun with you today at the park. I must say it was an adventure as always between our kids. Keeps the laughs going.
I still cannot believe your house was broken into. I am so thankful nothing else was taken and they were scared away. I pray they are caught soon. Love the color in your basement by the way. way cute!
