Well, our last week of Germany came too quickly. We enjoyed more food, spending time at an in door play center and more hanging out around the house with family. I went on a jog one day by myself and picked wild berries and fruit growing all along the river. I found some interesting berries that my mother in law had not seen before. I also went and explored the town square where Manuel grew up. His town dates back to like 500 A.D or B.C he's not sure. It was settled by pig farmers and there is a castle that the the rich family that settled it lived in, now the castle is used as housing for a mental institution. I took pictures.
The week prior I forgot to mention the butt kicking bike ride that we went on through town and to the lake and back. I hadn't ridden a bike since I was 12 and it wasn't a mountain bike either, it had a lovely cushioned banana seat. I don't know who came up with the idea of a hard seat the size of my hand supporting upper body weight but it certainly is no match for bumpy off road trails. I was sore for 4 days. Glad I did it though. After a regular diet of sausage, brat wursts, cheese and bread I think I have gained a new appreciation for tofu and of course some extra pounds. :)
The flight home was great, though not always fun with tired children. We managed and survived it. Here are the final pictures of our trip.
