Date Night

Manuel and I had date night last night. We only get them about once a month and look forward to them. Last night was Manuel's turn to plan. I secured the babysitter a month in advance and payed in advance. The kids' preschool has a parent date night once a month and they watch all of our kids for $50 for 4 hours. From the beginning of the date to the end last night, I received messages and phone calls of bad news. From upsetting family issues to a baby dying. By the end of the date I was in tears. Manuel made me promise that I will turn my phone off on future dates.

We went to A Taste of India in Layton to try Indian food. I have been wanting to go there for months. Because of the phone calls I was getting I lost my appetite and couldn't eat. After that we went and hiked Waterfall Canyon. It was therapy for the soul and body. It was so beautiful up there and refreshing. Before we knew it we had to go pick up the kids and grab toner from the store so I could print my outline for sharing time. All the stores did not carry the toner we needed. Then came the phone calls for people needing subs for their classes on Sunday. Then came more upsetting calls from family. I hit the pillow at midnight. I am ready for a vacation from life!
