We got the chance to go to Bear Lake this weekend. Manuel's department held an off site meeting at a cabin. We got to jet ski and paddle boat. The lunch was catered and for dinner we had pizza and yummy treats. AT about 4:30 pm a big storm came out of nowhere and blew everything off the beach. There were giant waves and thunder. We went in the cabin for refuge. Most of the people decided to go home at the point. As soon as everyone left, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was sunny.
Manuel played soccer with all the guys and their kids and we met a couple who lived in Ireland and knew my brother when he was there serving his mission 12 years ago. It was so ironic. It's a small world.
Then we did s'mores and watched fireworks on the lake. The kids loved playing in the water and throwing rocks in the lake. We had so much fun getting to know Manuel's co-workers. We spent the night and had breakfast outside. In the morning there was an airplane flying low over the beach back and forth. We could see the pilot. Then we went to Logan and had lunch at the Bluebird Cafe and bought some old fashioned candy. It was yummy.
Cambrey crawled today for the first time. She is growing up so fast! She has three teeth which includes a fang. She claps her hands and knows how to play ring around the rosies. She loves to throw herself down when she hears the words "all fall down". I just decided to be daring and give her some table foods like bread, saltine crackers and a teeny bit of cake. She is so good at chewing her food. We love her!
Paisley is getting better at going out of her way to say Hi to people. She is making more friends and has really opened up. She is excited about her upcoming birthday. Gabe is getting good at reading. He just figured it out one day and was amazed at how easy it was. He also learned how to ride a bike a couple weeks ago. He was amazed at himself.
We are having a great summer and have really been enjoying the thunderstorms!
