We went to Lagoon on Saturday and had a fun time. Our kids seem to get more terrified every year of rides they loved the year before. Have no clue how that happens.
We decided to splurge because it was Memorial Day weekend and because we aren't planning on any vacations this year. We had lunch at pioneer village and then enjoyed munchies and drinks all throughout the day. Manuel won the kids a stuffed pig that we named "Oinker" and nick named "Bacon". I love going to Lagoon when it's not hot, so it was perfect weather for me and there were no lines for any of the rides.
We made baked apples and cream this week as well as gourmet healthy burgers. They were so yummy the kids gobbled them up. I had made homemade pickled peppers and we had those on the burgers as well as sauteed mushrooms, and our own garden grown lettuce and basil. I have to say that basil sure makes burgers delicious.
We had them with the newest flavored Lays potato chips, balsamic sweet onion. It has thyme on it and has the most interesting flavor.
Paisley and I enjoyed some girl time last weekend and I gave her a glam makeover - just some polish, glitter and lip gloss. It made her happy and was a lot of fun.
