A Funeral and a Party

Enjoyed a fun sushi party with my sister and her husband this week. I posted all the pics on facebook, they are so cute.

I made a fun candy sushi recipe and I posted it on my new food blog Lindsey's Kitchen

I am so passionate about food and people always tell me I should start a food blog so I finally did. It has been so fun. Hopefully it's entertaining and offers some fun ideas. Share it with your friends.

My mom's aunt died and we went to the funeral. Paisley had a tantrum right in the cemetery on someone's gravestone. It was hilarious. I was fortunate enough to meet my late grandpa's cousin who was kind enough to email me their family history the very next day. It was meant to be. Manuel and I renewed our temple recommends today and so we plan to visit the temple often this summer.

I was rear ended on the way home from the funeral but I realized later it was a blessing in disguise. I pulled onto the 21st south on ramp and saw two wrong way signs pointed right at me. So naturally I braked and came to a stop deciding that I would make a quick U turn before I experienced a head on. Then to my surprise a car was right behind me. He came to a stop as well and then suddenly drove forward and hit me. It scared me and the kids and I pulled over to talk with him.

Right after he hit me a giant pick up truck came speeding around the corner and zoomed right past us. I really believe if I had made that U turn then that truck would have plowed into the drivers side of my car. Because I was rear ended I didn't make the U turn. I know angels were watching out for us. Also, there was no damage on my car or the man's that hit me and he said he couldn't explain why his car drove forward after he came to a stop - and no he wasn't driving a Toyota. He was shocked. The good news is, it was an on ramp I was on, those signs were turned my direction and very confusing. Glad someone was watching over us!
