Our 9 year anniversary is on the 1st and we celebrated it this weekend in Park City. Before we left on Friday, we decorated the house for Christmas with the kids. We hung up their new advent calendars from Oma. Now we are ready for December.
The kids went to Grandma Bev's house and also stayed with Grandpa Roger. They had fun. We stayed in Deer Valley at the Lodges. The same suite we had last year. We love it. Two fire places, a hot tub, state of the art kitchen, a huge tile shower with three shower heads and room for 6 people, beautiful furniture, rooms and view of the mountains. The suite is for sale for 2 million. Yeah, it is a nice suite. We had a yummy dinner the first night at Butchers. Fried scallions and calamari in citrus honey sauce, serloin steak, asparagus and sweet potato fries, aha tuna with sweet and spicy sauce and yummy bread and cream soda. We celebrated that night with chocolates and Welch's blueberry pomegranate grape juice. The next day we worked out in the exercise room, enjoyed lunch at Quiznos and then saw the movie The Blindside. We loved it!! Then we went swimming in the pools. They were heated. For dinner we went to a Sushi place that was really yummy. The best sushi we ever had. We watched the BYU-Utah game on the big screen. Then that night we watched movies and utilized the hot tub and had yummy pie left over from thanksgiving. Then we had a toast with sparkling peach juice.
It was sad to leave but we were excited to give the kids their souvenirs. We bought them ornaments with their names on them and lollipops. We picked them up and Grandma made us all waffles. What a fun weekend.
