Grandma's Halloween Party

Our family won the $25 gift card prize this year for best costumes. I was a 1930's Hollywood Starlet, Manuel was a terrorist, Gabe was a cowboy and Paisley was a pumpkin patch princess fairy. It's funny how when you don't spend money on costumes and you make them yourselves you win. We had fun. I made cookies and zucchini soup. Earlier that day the kids and I went trick-or-treating at Manuel's work. I look forward to that every year. His whole company decs out two floors of the building for Halloween. Each department gets a budget and chooses a theme and then they compete against each other for prizes. It's so cool. They go all out and it looks just like a haunted house with fog and special effects. The kids loved it and got tons of candy. Manuel got a box of Halloween donuts for his birthday so we brought them to the party later.

That night we went with grandma and cousins to a pumpkin patch in Sandy where they played games and we rode another hay ride. Then it was back to Grandma's for dinner and a scary movie. It sure was fun!

Manuel's Birthday

Manuel's birthday is on the 30th. This year it fell on the day of Grandma's Halloween party. So we had to celebrate it the night before. He turned 29! I took him to McGrath's and he ordered lots of sea food. I bought the family dinner and I think Manuel enjoyed being able to eat on someone else's tab for once.

At grandma's party we gave him his gift. A gummy foot. Yes, a yucky looking bloody foot made out of candy. It even has crunchy bones inside. Manuel loves gummy candy so I thought this would do. This foot weighed a pound and thought it was made of candy Manuel felt disgusting eating it. Can you blame him?

Sweet Moments

Here are some sweet moments from the last week.

Paisley in her cute little coat.

Gabe after his preschool Halloween party.

Paisley cuddling with Daddy.

Gabe taking a picture of himself. We found this picture today.

Gabe decorated the house for Halloween by hanging toys everywhere. I have to admit the doll sitting alone on the edge of the couch was a bit scary.

Paisley loves to clean the house. We find her doing this all the time.
