What a fun week! Grandma Bev was here for labor Day and we went to Jeremiah's for breakfast and then to Pineview Dam. It was a beautiful day and the kids had fun. After that we went to our favorite Asian restaurant and had sushi, lemon chicken and Imperial chicken.
On Friday we went camping up Logan Canyon and Spring Hollow. Just our little family. We bought a new tent just for the occasion. We roasted hot dogs, had chips and bean salad and apple soda. For desert we had strawberry marshmallow smores and dutch oven cherry cobbler. We overcooked the cobbler but ate the yummy part underneath the black part. For breakfast we finished the cobbler and had bagels and cream cheese for lunch. We went on a fun nature hike along a trail by the river. We saw lots of wildlife. The kids had so much fun and so did the dog. We played card games and had family bonding time. Priceless.
On Saturday we got back just in time to go to dinner with our friends and their boys at Hungry Beat Pizza. The balloon artist was there and worked his magic for the kids. We got to see where our friends are building their new home it was fun. Then Sunday we were only able to attend sacrament as Grandma Bev and the family were having a big get together in Sandy. She just got back from Spain and had souvineers to give everyone and we had gifts from Germany too. We also celebrated Tanner's birthday. It was an Italian themed dinner and we made homemade pizza, breaded zucchini sticks and dip, and balsamic, mozzarella tomato appetizers. Grandma made spaghetti and corn, we had french bread and a yummy salad and smoothies. Grandma gave Paisley a cute Flamingo dancer dress with shoes and those little wooden clapper things. It was so cute and Paisley feels so special when she wears it. We had a lot of fun!!
Oh, and Gabe officially started preschool this week!!
