Our Weekend

We went to Kyler's (Gabe's cousin) baptism on Saturday and celebrated Easter with Grandma, Grandpa and all the cousins. That night I flew to NY. I enjoyed my day there in the big apple. It was Easter so they had an Easter parade on 5th Avenue. They shut down the street for the entire day and people decorate easter bonnets and hats and parade them around in the street. I caught the Easter Bunny ice skating at the Rockefeller Center. I also witnessed the end of Easter Mass at one of the large Cathedrals on 5th Avenue. They opened the doors right as I was taking pictures. I took pictures of the priests and they posed and smiled for the crowd. It was so neat to see. I took a picture of the brooklyn bridge and the empire state building from the backseat of the cab. I also got to watch the taping on NBC's Today Show outside. I think I was on TV just for a second there. It was fun. Lester Holt and Jenna Wolfe were anchoring. I also stood right next to Miss Jay from America's Next Top Model. He crossed the street next to me. Everyone was dressed in their Easter best and it was nice to see other people of other religions celebrate Easter.
