Pumpkins Galore!

We carved a pumpkin for family home evening. Well, Manuel did.

The jack-o-lantern

And this was probably the moment where Gabe contracted the flu. He gets it every time we visit a pumpkin patch so I think we will have to miss playgroup this week. Don't want him sick on Halloween.

Some of Paisley's many "offended" moments.

My cinnamon, apple cobbler, vanilla ice cream, caramel desert.
Grandma Bev and Paisley at baby Ashton's blessing dinner.

Great Grandma Cavner and Paisley at Ashton's blessing. Grandma Cavner went blind about 5 years ago and has not seen Gabe and Paisley. She is an amazing woman, we love her!

One of Gabe's most flattering moments.

Frightmares

Our house as been on the market for 5 days and we've only had one showing. The market is really slow. During the showing we went and bought Gabe a new car seat which meant Paisley got to move up to Gabe's car seat. Poor girl has been in her baby car seat too long.

We sure had fun at Frightmares today. Our kids were a little more scared of the kiddie rides than we thought they'd be. Being the nice mom I am and just like with food rules in our house, I had Gabe try all the rides at least once. That was difficult but just like how it is at the dinner table he ended up liking the rides he was afraid to go on. Paisley pulled her sad little pouty face many times when riding without mom and dad. It was cute.

The recipe for the week is zucchini pasta. Julienne 1 large zucchini into noodle size strips. The zucchini is a replacement for the pasta. Saute with mushrooms , onions, basil and sausage. Make a homemade Alfredo sauce and pour over top. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

This Week

So this week I took tons of cute pictures and all of a sudden my memory card showed that it was empty. Ahhhhhh!! It was so sad. I had to pay $30 to download a recovery system and then all the ugly pictures were saved and all the cute pictures were lost. Go figure. So this is what we have.

Manuel went on a business trip for three days to Chicago. I was a single mom but had fun with the kids. A big package from Germany came and was full of fun surprises. The kids got clothes, candy, and all kinds of gifts. Thank you Manuel's family!!! We loved it!

On Saturday we went to Black Island Farms with our friends Sam and Shannah and their boys. It was a lot of fun. I love October.

The recipe for the week is homemade French Onion Soup. I saw it on a cooking show and had to try it. It was a hit. Hope it makes you hungry!
