One Week Old

Wow, it's already been over a week since Paisley was born. During that short time period, Gabe's Oma bought him a scooter and a new bed, he also spent some time coloring the dog with sidewalk chalk and Manuel has enjoyed time off from work to spend with his mom and family.

She's Here!!

Paisley Mae Rietzsch was born on July 23, 2007 at 1:06 pm at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz. It was an easy labor for Lindsey. Pushing was only for 6 minutes. No pain, no problems. Lindsey was released to go home this morning and our entire stay was a little over 24 hours. Not bad. Here are a few moments of that day from leaving our house to the big moment at the hospital.

Summer Fun

We went to the Lundskog family reunion on Saturday and then to Lindsey's mom's company party on Monday. It was by the Mountain Dell golf course on the way to East Canyon.

Gabe had so much fun that we had to literally pry him off the play equipment when it was time to go. We also finished our basement this week just in time for the new arrival! Gabe did most of the work.

Children's Parade

Gabe was in a neighborhood children' s parade on Saturday. We made a cute flag and we decorated his car with balloons. Right before the parade the balloons popped and the flag blew away. He still had a fun time. Afterwards we had a BBQ.

Comment of the Day!! - After church today Gabe was eating lunch and said "Mommy, I eat meat!" So Lindsey said "Yes honey, that's bacon" and Gabe said "No mommy, it's meat...duh!" We couldn't help but laugh. Bacon and meat are not the same thing to a 2 year old. That was the first time Gabe ever said "Duh" before.
